Paver Patios & Hardscaping

Paver patio costs in the Pensacola and Destin area typically range from $15 to $30 per square foot installed, depending on the paver material, pattern complexity, and site conditions. A standard 300 sq ft patio runs between $4,500 and $9,000. Factors like sandy soil requiring extra base material or complex drainage can affect pricing. We provide detailed, itemized estimates after an on-site consultation.

A properly installed paver patio lasts 25 to 50 years or more. The key is base preparation — especially in Florida's sandy soil. We install a compacted aggregate base with proper drainage to prevent shifting and settling. Pavers themselves are rated to withstand Florida's UV exposure, salt air, and heavy rain without cracking like poured concrete often does.

A retaining wall is needed when your property has grade changes that cause erosion, drainage issues, or unusable sloped areas. Even modest slopes of 18 inches or more can benefit from a retaining wall. They also add visual dimension and create level areas for patios, gardens, or play spaces. During your free consultation, we assess whether a retaining wall is structurally necessary or simply a design enhancement for your property.

Landscaping & Sod

Most residential landscape projects take 3 to 10 business days depending on scope. A simple planting and mulch job can be completed in 1-2 days. A full hardscape project with paver patio, retaining wall, lighting, and irrigation typically requires 7-14 days. We provide a timeline estimate with every proposal and keep you updated throughout the project.

Zoysia and St. Augustine are the most popular sod varieties for the Pensacola to Orange Beach area. Zoysia handles sandy soil and salt exposure well, while St. Augustine thrives in both sun and partial shade. We recommend specific varieties based on your property's sun exposure, soil conditions, and intended use. Proper soil preparation and an irrigation system are critical for sod establishment in our hot summers.

We select salt-tolerant species for coastal properties, including Muhly grass, Coontie palm, Sabal palm, Indian Hawthorn, Oleander, and Yaupon Holly. For properties directly on the water or within a few blocks of the Gulf, salt tolerance is the primary factor in plant selection. We assess your property's exposure during the consultation and build a planting plan that accounts for wind direction, salt spray distance, and soil salinity.

Irrigation & Drainage

A new residential irrigation system in the Pensacola area typically costs between $3,000 and $6,000 for an average-sized yard, depending on the number of zones, sprinkler head types, and whether a smart controller is included. Larger properties or those with complex layouts may run higher. We also perform repairs, seasonal adjustments, and system upgrades on existing systems.

Florida's flat terrain and high water table make drainage a common challenge. We use a combination of French drains, catch basins, channel drains, and re-grading to direct water away from structures and off your property. On extremely flat lots, we may install dry wells or connect to existing storm drainage systems. Every drainage solution starts with a site assessment to identify where water collects and where it needs to go.

Landscape Lighting

We install low-voltage LED landscape lighting systems that are energy-efficient, long-lasting, and safe. Our installations include path lights, uplights, downlights, well lights, step lights, and accent fixtures. We use brass and copper fixtures that withstand salt air and coastal conditions better than aluminum. Every system includes a transformer, timer or smart controller, and professional wiring with waterproof connections.

A typical residential landscape lighting installation runs between $2,500 and $8,000 depending on the number of fixtures, property size, and design complexity. A simple path and entry lighting package with 8-12 fixtures starts around $2,500. A comprehensive design with accent lighting, tree uplighting, and patio area lighting with 20+ fixtures typically runs $5,000 to $8,000. All pricing includes professional fixtures, installation, wiring, and a transformer.

Pricing & Process

Yes, we require a deposit to schedule your project and order materials. The deposit amount varies by project size — typically 30-50% of the total project cost. The remaining balance is due upon completion and your approval during the final walkthrough. All payment terms are outlined clearly in your written estimate before any work begins.

We stand behind our workmanship and the materials we install. Warranty terms vary by service — hardscape installations carry the longest coverage, while plant material warranties depend on whether an irrigation system is maintaining them. Specific warranty details are included with every written estimate. If something is not right, call us and we will make it right.
